UG Gave No Last Scene to Mahesh Bhatt

UG is deadly to its hard core dead end.Mahesh Bhatt with UG, and Narayana Moorty UG tore apart all hopes, hypes, holy sermons and scriptures even in his death. Well one can easily doubt whether UG was Mahesh Bhatt’s mentor or monster. Equally Mahesh Bhatt also fought like a monster with UG till the end. The veteran Indian film maker and director Mahesh Bhatt was too obsessed to get the final message – rather “the final scene” from UG to click and build on the empire, but UG demolished all the holy hopes and said simply ‘No Message’. UG made his own death and end so simple and straight; and no sermons there to preach.

Mahesh Bhatt Monster Mahesh Bhatt!narrated this the other day with his UG friends and family at Chandrasekhar Babu’s residence, where UG used to come once in a year to chat and beat his unholy sermons with his friends. Ever since UG’s death on 22 March 2007, Mahesh Bhatt has made it a point to dash at Chandrasekhar’s place every year on that day. This time Mahesh said, “I have come from Mumbai to Bangalore toMahesh Bhatt reminded that UG used to say, ‘we are always interested in eating memories and we are in miseries. Life doesn’t care a bit of it.’ meet my family and friends – Mr Chandrasekhar Babu, Mrs. Suguna and all UG friends here. Nothing to do with calendar or ritual like things.” He ate and relished Dosa, a favorite mouth-watering South Indian dish, thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Chandrasekhar Suguna’s simple straight to heart hospitality.

Of course before eating Dosa, Mahesh Bhatt made a very emotional narration that he had with UG in his (UG’s) last departing days and death. Mahesh Bhatt experienced life in UG’s death. During those few days Mahesh Bhatt derives the most from UG, unlike his other long days of stint with UG. Nothing holy about it, but a whole lot of rare simple and plain insights there, that Mahesh Bhatt wants to yell out. Mahesh told that the whole account of this rare experience is coming out in the form of his new book, entitled ‘The Taste of Life’, from the Penguin Publishers, slated to be released next month, April 2009. UG took a hard view that, ‘the so called no-thought state talk is a biggest lie.’Mahesh Bhatt was very emphatic there to stress the point that UG demolished all the empire-like holy sermons, scriptures, religions and religious gurus. UG simply tore apart the holy empire of spirituality and put it in its natural naked and nude state – no perversion, no diversion there. Enough of centuries of chaining and choking of holy spirituality; and this was the ‘devilish act’ that UG did to this humanity.

On this occasion a Kannada versionChandrasekhar Babu with UG book of Mahesh Bhatt’s book ‘U.G. Krishnamurti: A Life’ was released. Another interesting aspect on this occasion was that an enterprising publisher Sonali DesaiMahesh Bhatt and Publisher Sonali Desai brought out a new well designed book entitled ‘UG Says’, containing rare UG sayings and photos. Mahesh Bhatt was too happy to release the book there. Another close associate and admirer, Mr Louis shared his experiences with UG and, told that he is bringing out his encounter and account of his insights in the form of a new book soon.

“UG doesn’t want, but UG admirers need it” – the informal gathering of UG admirers at Chandrasekhar’s residence on 22 March 2009 was an indication of that. Even his admirers from Italy and other places all the way flown down to Bangalore simply to ‘see’ that dead(ly) virus called UG.

Mr K Chandrasekhar Babu has sent in a link, where he has put the best moments of the event in Photos; as all of us know, Chandrasekhar Babu is a meticulous archiver and best resource person on UG. His first hand encounter and experience with UG is amazingly quite vast. Here is the album link:

I don’t know how to say this, UG’s words helped me alot. I was a victim of these holy fuckers. Great work guys, we will spread this.

    sulochanosho adds:
Thank you Hari, your words there speak the peak.

  4. Gongfucha says:

    Just not Possible:

Oh good lord. This would be totally pathetic if it weren’t so damned funny!

Since even UG couldn’t make a dent in these folks’ conditioned responses (despite all the time they spent with him), I guess it’s just not possible at all….

Oh well. Good try, UG. Heheh!

    sulochanosho adds:
No UG, no Jesus can help us. God has given us two feet to walk. We always see at somebody’s remote holy feet. Can we ever walk? can we ever listen and learn? We crucify them and then start worshipping them … what else can we do? Is there a better suicide?

    • sulochanosho says:

Are we missing yet another UG:

Gongfucha, strikes a startling line there. Yes, many times, the more we cling, the more we miss. Too much sentiment and conditioning are the very impediments too.
Any way, on a similar line, Madhu has sent in a good link there on UG and the Close Coterie, to ponder over:

  5. Gongfucha says:

Jesus? God? Holy feet? Crucify?! Worshipping??! Suicide??!!!!

    Yikes!

All I said is “U.G. couldn’t make a dent….” One itty bitty, teeny tiny, minuscule shred of influence is all we’re talking about here, sulochanosho. No need turn it into a Biblical epic! 🙂

    sulochanosho adds:

That exactly what I meant: ‘No body can make a dent…. No one can walk for me, nor I can walk for others. Everybody has to make their own dent. A seer or some ‘nonentity’ can give us only some hints and hits. Rest is ours. It’s our life and our own journey. God has given us senses and feet. ‘

That exactly is what all the seers were barking down the line. Thanks.

“It is an act of futility to relate my description to the way you are functioning. When you stop all this comparison, what is there is your Natural State. Then you will not listen to anybody.”

  7. Tej says:

One question? Why did UG have such strong opinions on gurus and the guru business when he is supposed to have freed himself?

If as he says there is no difference between God and sex, why did he take a morally higher ground by condemning them?

Mentally, not following any guru is exactly the same as following a guru. Its just a matter of how comfortable you are with the belief system. You guys seem to derive your pleasure from not following any guru – the ordinary folks get their pleasure from rituals and the like – that’s all.

  8. sulochanosho says:

There, Tej raises a good point.

Some how, we may sense that all our life we are on a hunt for pleasure; and there comes all the gurus and non-gurus; and the reality is that we are sitting on the very treasure and falsely searching for the pleasure some where else. The day we realize that we are sitting on the very treasure, our hunt for pleasure ends and there is no space for gurus or anti-gurus.

  9. Madhusudhan says:

    Pooja or Pornography:

“Mentally, not following any guru is exactly the same as following a guru. Its just a matter of how comfortable you are with the belief system. You guys seem to derive your pleasure from not following any guru – the ordinary folks get their pleasure from rituals and the like – that’s all.”

    I totally agree with him.

But UG never stopped any one doing Puja or any other ritual because he knows that neither by doing it nor by stopping it you achieve anything.

Several times I have seen him advising the foreigners visiting him to tour Thiruvannamalai.

In Mr Chandrasekhar’s house regularly ‘pooja’ is done for several Hindu deities even when UG is staying in the house. UG never objected or chided them against traditional activities going in his place.

But to UG the entire meaning of religious ceremonies and worshipping the gods is a bundle of nonsense. He sees there no meaning. But he never stopped who are doing it with meaning and purpose.

Forget about others, whether they are doing or not. We need to carry on our life with freshness and flavour. Religion is an individual affair.

    To put in UG’s words,

“You ain’t got a chance” whether we do pooja or watch pornography.

    • mailnemo says:

UG wanted to say only those words which his friend /followers wants to hear. And one thing is common in all his followers and friends, they all were at some point cheated in the name of so called Holy business. I have to pity for his followers, but UG is no enlightened being, have no idea of self realization or anything close to it. I think its his frustration not to succeed in seeking GOD which made him like that. Boss is not easy task to seek GOD, many have fallen in this path and handful suceed. Should we stop seeking God? No Never. We have to be pure and honest to seek God.

      • sulochanosho says:

We have been conditioned so solidly for centuries that we always protest at even a small ‘barking’ of some one, if it may not fit our ‘conditioned frame’. The conditioned we are just our ‘minds’.

  17. surjeet says:

A bouquet presented by Sunita and Surjeet to all the eminent writers. WITH a TAG, “long live UG in the hearts of his admirers”

    A TASTE OF LIFE

    In a dark
    lonely dense forest
    I was alone,
    finding’ no way out’
    and then suddenly
    lightning bolt struck..!!!!!
    Thunder!!…..’A taste of death’
    Fear!!!!…..deep down deep
    ‘I stopped in tracks’
collecting all ‘the courage to stand alone’
    Three steps next………….
    wearing a white robe,
    stood ‘mystique of enlightenment’.
    Darkness overpowering silence………
    Suddenly the sage spoke
” shed the fear my child,
    come to your ‘natural state'”
    Soothing were his words,
    F e a r evaporating…..
“Mind is a myth’ and ‘thought is your enemy’.
Switch to ‘the other side of belief’
    and become ‘the natural man’
    fill yourself with love……………………..
    have trust in God”
    Silence………………………!!!………
    tick tock tock……..
    sage was gone
followed by four ‘god men con men’
    Morning breeze………
    Birds chirping…………..
    ‘the curse is broken’
    I opened my eyes
    A DREAM ???? what a dream??
    A remembrance of UG ….
    ‘UG Says’
A Life is a given time where
‘the sage and the housewife’ are
equally entitled to break the curse
    and reach HOME.

  18. Tom says:

If you recognize that that every thought you have about anything is false, a fantasy, everything UG said is obvious. That’s what I think…..

  19. Madhu says:

    @ mailnemo,

Whether u take UG to the heights of Everest or you denounce him for being a block to your God or holy business, it does not matter.

UG sang his song from the bottom of his heart and went away.

    Not it is our turn.

Whether we parrot him or curse him, it is the same.

One is thing I found for myself is that we being fascinated by UG’s aura want to imitate him, talk like him, use the same words and sometimes feel that they are our own words. But actually we have not moved an inch from our real self. We do not need move even.

Time has come to dump the bloated image of UG within us and feel light and deal with ever fresh life of our own with our own methods and ways.

After all that is what UG wanted from each of us.

  20. I have had the luck to interact with U. G. in a very personal way; I was less lonely when i was with him .. Why do people keep asking questions ? and not believe what he said . .He was not eccentric .. there is more body than mind in him .. Neuroscience is still to develop; mind is a mystery despite MRA’s

Take it from me !! i know what I am saying..

One can Howell choose .. thinking is fun aesthetics . discovering nature’s ways ever rewarding .

He did take many Aspirin tablets soon after Catastrophe , and no food or water; miracle he survived to tell his tale ..
